Arthur "Art" F. Wedge

Arthur “Art” F. Wedge, of Masury, Ohio, passed from this life on Sunday, April 13, 2025, while in the Emergency Room at UPMC – Shenango Campus, Farrell, Pennsylvania, following a sudden illness. He was 85.

Arthur was born April 23, 1939, in Apollo, Pennsylvania, a son to Frank R. & Belva M. (Shellhammer) Wedge.

He was a workshop specialist who proudly worked for the Keystone Blind Association for over 62 years before he retired.

Art was a member of the Brookfield Christian Church; Sharon Lion’s Club; and an honorary member of the Auxiliary of the Brookfield Township Volunteer Fire Department.

In his spare time, he enjoyed caning chairs for over 70 years. However, spending time at the cabin in Tidioute, Pennsylvania, and cheering for his Cleveland Browns, Indians/Guardians, & Cavaliers, is what he loved the most.

Survivors include: his wife, Janet E. (Reagle) Wedge, whom he married September 24, 1983; sister, Esther Merat, of Sharon, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Alice Wedge, of Hartford, Ohio; God-daughter, Nicole Anderson (Mike); and a host of nieces, nephews, great ones, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William "Bill" & Charles "Chuck" Wedge; and sister, Virginia Hull.

A time of gathering to honor Art’s life will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4-7 PM, at Briceland Funeral Service, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. His celebration continues with a service on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, also in the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
