Carolyn Donaldson
August 16, 1943 — August 18, 2014
Carolyn M. Donaldson of Sharon, Pennsylvania, entered eternal rest at 4:11 PM Monday, August 18, 2014, at Sharon Regional Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was 71.
Carolyn was born in Sharon on August 16, 1943, a daughter to Michael Mihalcin and Susan Barnes.
A 1961 graduate of Sharon High School, she furthered her education by attending the Business Institute of Pennsylvania.
Carolyn found employed as a medical receptionist for Dr. Santiago, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, were she retired in 2008 after over 14 years of service.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sharon, and was an active volunteer for many of the church activities.
Survivors include: her children, Kimberly Hayes, Newport News, VA, and Gary Donaldson, II, Sharon; her sister, Ethel Harris, Avon, Ohio; her grandchildren, Gary III & Jena; and her great-granddaughters, Sophia & Sadie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brothers, Jim, Mike, & Tom Mihalcin; & by her sister, Irene Chido.
A Memorial Mass to honor Carolyn will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 11 AM in her church. She will be laid to rest next to her mother in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in your area.
