Debra "Deb" M. Pasquerilla

Debra “Deb” M. Pasquerilla, of Hubbard, Ohio, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at home, surrounded by love, following a period of declining health. She was 73.

Born on July 18, 1951, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Deb was the beloved daughter of Joseph C. & Mary V. (Smoot) Pasquerilla. She grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, graduating from Brookfield High School in 1969 before going on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Salem College and later, her master’s degree from Youngstown State University.

Deb dedicated her life to both education and healthcare. She worked as an ultrasound technician at various hospitals throughout the valley and made a lasting impact as a Professor of Medical Terminology at YSU. She was also a former x-ray technician and instructor at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, shaping the futures of many students in the medical field.

Beyond her career, Deb had a heart that knew no bounds, especially when it came to animals. She was a fierce advocate for animal rescue, dedicating much of her life to saving, nurturing, and rehoming countless animals in need. This was one of her greatest passions, and she took immense pride in the lives she touched—both human and animal.

Deb’s faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene.

In her free time, she found joy in cross-stitching, traveling to Cook Forest, testing her luck at the casinos, and, most of all, spending time with her cherished family and her beloved cats.

She leaves behind a family who adored her, including her siblings: Ginny Pasquerilla of Masury, Ohio; Amy (Dennis) Fitzgerald, of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania; and Joe (Ann) Pasquerilla, of Hubbard; as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever treasure their memories with her.

Deb was welcomed into Heaven by her parents and her brothers, Paul & Nick Pasquerilla.

In her final days, she was cared for with love and compassion by Kelly and Janet, two extraordinary caretakers who provided comfort, kindness, and unwavering support.

A memorial service to honor Deb’s beautiful life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Hubbard Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Cherry Lane, Hubbard, Ohio 44425, where family & friends may pay their respects one hour prior from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
