Dolores Carr
February 9, 1935 — April 27, 2016
Dolores June “Dolly” Carr, of Fowler, Ohio, left this world at 6:37 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, while a patient in Gillette Nursing Home, Warren, Ohio following an extended illness. She was 81.
Dolores was born on February 9, 1935, in Girard, Ohio, a daughter to Charles “TV” & Florence (Eicher) Davis.
In 1949, she moved to Fowler and graduated from Neal High School in 1952. On Valentine’s Day in 1953, she married Gene Everett Carr and together started a family.
She worked as a waitress for Cy’s Restaurant, Vienna, Ohio, as well as volunteering as a nurses aid at Hillside for over 10 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing with her husband, baking, gardening, and tending to her lawn. More especially, she loved to take care of her family.
She leaves behind: her children, Gene C. Carr, Twila J. Bartek, Danny W. Carr, all of Fowler, and Florence I. Eddy, Billingsley, Alabama; her 5 grandchildren, her 7 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Lois J. Scott, Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her father, William Ward, and by her wonderful husband whom she never forgot & the father to her children, Gene.
She touched so many lives and we know we will see you again.
A time of gathering to honor Dolores will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 12 to 2 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
