Elizabeth A. “Betty” Kohler, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Brookfield, Ohio, was greeted in Heaven by her beloved Warren, on Saturday, September 1, 2018, while a patient under Hospice Care of Amber Hills, Phoenix, following a period of declining health. She was 97.
Betty was born September 28, 1920, in Clairton, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Arnold and Margaret (Eschelbacher) Reichart.
A 1938 graduate of Brookfield High School and she married the love of her life, Warren Kohler, on June 19, 1941.
She was a member of the former St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Vienna, Ohio, and now St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. In addition, she was a member of the former ZZO Club, Brookfield.
Betty had worked as an inspector for Elastometric Products, Inc., North Jackson, Ohio, before she retired.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cheering on the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Team as well as the Arizona State University Sun Devils Football Team. However, what she enjoyed most of all, was any kind of dessert you could think of.
Her survivors include: her son, Kevin P. Kohler & his wife Diane, Phoenix; her two grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Amanda Wentworth & her husband Aaron, St. Thomas, USVI, and Gregory Kohler & his wife Kristina, Phoenix; her great-granddaughter, Kalie Lynn Kohler, whom she enjoyed watching grow up; and her sister, Margaret Scutillo & her husband Ralph, Warren, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, who died January 28, 2005; and by her brothers, Arnold, Norman, Frank, Edward, & William Reichart.
A time of gathering to honor Betty’s life will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 11-12 PM in her church, St. Thomas the Apostle, 4453 Warren-Sharon Rd., Vienna, Ohio 44473, concluding with a prayer service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
