Francis “Butch” K. Gaydos, of Niles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, while a patient at Ahuja Medical Center, Beachwood, Ohio, following a brief illness. He was 81.
Francis was born February 1, 1943, in Warren, Ohio, a son to Frank and Elizabeth (Shafer) Gaydos.
He graduated from Howland High School in 1961. On August 8, 1964, he married the girl of his dreams, the former Patricia Ward.
Butch worked as a pipefitter/plumber through Local #396 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. Over 21 years of his trade was spent at ITT Granell, Warren. In addition, he along with his wife, owned and operated the ITAM in Warren, as well as the Chateau Lounge in Leavittsburg, Ohio.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing poker with his many friends & family. Furthermore, he went to school to become a Charter Captain.
Survivors include: his bride, Patricia; grandchildren, Alexis (Levi) Dunlap & Zachary (Alisha) Gaydos, both of Columbiana, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Elsie Dunlap, Madison Dunlap, & Emmett Gaydos.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Stephen Ward Gaydos.
In accordance to his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.
