Frank Thomas Kratko, Jr., of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 31, 2016, while a patient at Sharon Regional Health Care System, Sharon, Pennsylvania, following a period of declining health. He was 75.
Frank was born at home in Masury, Ohio on January 11, 1941, a son to Frank T. & Anna (Mikulin) Kratko, Sr.
A graduate from Brookfield High School in 1959, he furthered his education by obtaining his Bachelor of Science from Westminster College, Bachelor of Industrial Arts from Kent State University, and his Master of Science from Brown University.
Education was a passion to Frank. He went on to share his gift as a teacher for over 43 years, working for the school systems in South Akron, Ohio, Gary, Indiana, and Rayen, in Youngstown, Ohio. In addition, he was a substitute teacher for the Brookfield, Hubbard, Vienna, and Gustavus Schools as well.
Survivors include: his brother, Richard Kratko & his wife Sharon, Masury; his sisters, Marianne E. Remalia & her husband Kenneth, Meza, Arizona, and Stephanie A. Baker, with whom he made his home; and his extended family too.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Ronald Kratko.
In accordance to his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. He will be laid to rest with his family in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
