Freda Karlovich

Freda L. Karlovich, 88, of Brookfield, Ohio, went home to the Lord, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her home.

Freda was born September 13, 1927, in Masury, Ohio, the daughter of William and Ethel (Harpster) Coxson.

For most of Freda's life she was a homemaker and was the best cook, always making large meals for her family. She also made wedding cakes, loved watching the birds around her home and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Freda was a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, William "Vic" Karlovich, whom she married July 6, 1949; her daughters,  Vicki (Keith) Koss, of Brookfield, Darlene (Carroll) Riffe, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, and Tami Anerino, of Brookfield; her grandchildren, Lance Koss, Angel Owens, Cara Riffe, Ryan Riffe, Cory Riffe, Vincent Anerino and Dominic Anerino; her seven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Milda Syslo, Wilma DeMay, Irene Koosh, and Carol Patterson.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Cox and Billie Frampton, and one great-grandson.

A time of gathering to honor Freda will be held Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 4 to 6 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A Funeral Service will be offered on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Brookfield United Methodist Church.  She will be laid to rest in Brookfield Township Cemetery.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Briceland Funeral Home to help defray the cost of the funeral service.
