Glenna Christy

Glenna F. Christy, longtime resident of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away quietly in her sleep on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, East Palestine, Ohio, following a short illness. She was 89.

Glenna was born April 30, 1928, in Pleasureville, Kentucky, a daughter to Lego & Bessie (Barton) Nolin.

She graduated from Pleasureville High School in 1946 and was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and sewing.

Surviving Glenna are: daughter, Donnee Sue Huffer & her husband Scott, East Palestine; daughter-in-law, Kendra D. Christy, Brookfield; grandchildren, Corey Lynn Bretz & her husband Gregory, Lawrence William Jennings, II & his wife Kristina, Courtney Nicole Christy & her companion Cevan Wellman, and Hillary LeeAnn Christy; great-grandchildren, Hadley & Hannah Jennings; sister, Martha Prewitt, Jefferson, Indiana; and many nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, George R Christy, whom she married July 3, 1954, he passed on August 25, 1999; son, Assistant Chief Mark S. Christy; four brothers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, no services or calling hours will be scheduled. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Brookfield Township Cemetery.

As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to the Brookfield Township Fire Department, where her son had been the Assistant Fire Chief, or Hospice of the Valley, both c/o the funeral home.
