Helen G. “Bubba” Mosora, of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal rest at 4:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2020, while a patient at the O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, Ohio, following a brief illness. She was 97.
Helen was born on August 14, 1923, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to George & Gizella (Holzinger) Farkas.
She met a handsome gentleman by the name of John Mosora and fell head over heels in love. They exchanged vows on February 7, 1942 and soon after started a family. Born to this union were 3 sons: Michael, Thomas, and Ronald.
She loved being a homemaker for her family. Eventually as the boys grew, she began working as a retail buyer for the Ferrara family at the Valley View Department Store. Helen and Mrs. Ferrara traveled everywhere together looking for wholesale merchandise to sell at the store. Helen dedicated 25 years of service to the company before she retired.
Helen attended school in Sharon and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Farrell, Pennsylvania. Most recently, she belonged the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Vienna, Ohio.
In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, and of course traveling. She was a sports enthusiast. She loved to watch the Cleveland Indians, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns. She also enjoyed watching her great-grandkids play sports. She would sit on the deck for hours, with her favorite dogs by her side, Bella, Jax, and Harley, watching the kids swim and play in the yard.
Survivors include: her son, Michael “Mike” Mosora (Debbie), of Brookfield; daughter-in-law, Julie Mosora, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Jill Costa (Sam), Tom Mosora (Stephanie), Mark Mosora, Kate Reed (Justin), Melissa Smith (Steve), & Jon Mosora (Kacie); and her great-grandchildren, Rachel Costa, Sammy Costa, Lauren Costa, Kylie Mosora, Lukas Mosora, & Colten Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, who passed March 12, 1991; sons, Thomas & Ronald Mosora; great-grandson, Alex Mosora; and brothers, Steve, George, John, & Joseph Farkas.
In accordance to her wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.
