Hunter Haines

Hunter B. Haines, of Brookfield, Ohio, found peace at 6:15 pm Friday, May 4, 2018, as he passed away at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Youngstown, Ohio. He was 15 years old.

Hunter was born June 21, 2002 in Warren, Ohio, and currently was a sophomore at Brookfield High School. He participated on the varsity golf team which had qualified for the state tournament in the last two seasons. In addition, he also played on the junior varsity basketball team.

In his spare time, he played the piano.

His survivors include: his parents, Terrian D. Richards and David McElrath, Brookfield; his sister, Olivia McElrath, Brookfield; and his countless friends.

Hunter’s final gift was of himself. It is now time for him to move on, into the dusk but also the dawn. He will remain as the morning comes, as he left behind a gift for someone. So another may walk, may talk, may see, where something in their life was locked, he offered them a key. Hunter was a donor, giving to someone in need, his final gift, his final deed.

A time of gathering to honor Hunter’s life will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 4-8 PM in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hubbard, Ohio. He will be laid to rest in Dugan Cemetery, Fowler, Ohio.
