Janet Galati

“Together Again”

Janet L. Galati, of Brookfield, Ohio, peacefully passed away of natural causes at 7:46 am, Wednesday, February 6, 2019, while a physical therapy patient of Liberty Arms Health Care Center, Youngstown, Ohio.  She was 86.

Janet was born February 10, 1932, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Robert R. and Lellia “Sally” (Jennings) Seburn.

She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1950 where she was salutatorian of her class as well as being on the homecoming court.

On July 3, 1954, she married Thomas S. Galati, also of Brookfield. Together they started a family with two children: Robert “Bobby” and Sally.

She and her husband Tom began the business Galati Sales & Service, an authorized Wheel Horse and Toro Dealership located in Brookfield.

Mrs. Galati loved to work and see her customers. She never retired and rarely missed a day at the shop. However, in her spare time, she adored spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” T. Galati; her daughter, Sally J. Kolat (Lawrence “Lonnie Sr.”), all of Brookfield; her grandchildren, Melissa Stanton (Tyler), and their children, Julia, Andrew, and Ella; Lonnie Kolat, Jr. (Jessica), and their children, Lonnie III and Sammy; and Chad Kolat (Ashley); her sister, Eleanor "Jean" McCullough (Roger), Vienna, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, Linda McCullough, Nancy McCullough, Ray McCullough, Carol Gulya (Paul), and MaryAnn Lutz (Teri); her brother-in-law, Kenneth Galati, Brookfield; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Harper (Jay), Hubbard, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, who died June 27, 2009; by her sisters, Mary (and Pete) Lutz, and Helen (and John) Tomich; and by her daughter-in-law, Judith "Judy" L. Galati.

In accordance to her wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.
