Jeffrey Thompson

Jeffrey L. Thompson, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, following a prolonged illness. He was 59.

Jeffrey was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, on June 7, 1960, the son of JoAnn R. Suttles Thompson and  Robert L. Thompson, Sr.

After graduating from Brookfield High School in 1979, he joined the family insurance business. He was currently the Vice President of Sales at Thompson Private Client, Girard, Ohio. In addition, Jeff owned and managed  several  rental properties.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed watching all Cleveland sports, especially attending Tribe games. He also enjoyed bicycling, golfing, and working on his apartments. Certainly, Jeff loved spending time with all of his Brookfield friends at the Strimbu hunting camp and lake house.

Jeff had a quick wit and a gift for socializing. He always made you feel welcome and showed a genuine interest for those he cared for. He will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends.

Survivors include: his daughter, Ashley A. Thompson, Arlington, Virginia; his brothers, Robert L. Thompson, Jr. (Dawn), Warren, Ohio, David A. Thompson (Beverly Madonio), Rootstown, Ohio, and D. Scott Thompson (Ann Fraley), Hubbard, Ohio; his many nieces and nephews; and his close friend, Julie Smock.

His parents preceded him in death.

A time of gathering to honor Jeff will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019, from 4-7 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A memorial service will conclude our evening.
