Joseph "Joe" E. Sabol

Joseph “Joe” E. Sabol, of Masury, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 9, 2024, following a brief illness. He was 73.

Joseph was born September 10, 1951, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Joseph & Pauline (Miller) Sabol.

He graduated from Farrell High School in 1970.

Joe worked as a mechanic, more specifically, a Master Line Technician, for both Crown and Klaben Ford, accumulating over 35 years of combined service before he retired.

He grew up attending Saint Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

In his spare time, he enjoyed building and repairing his home, boating, camping, fishing, and being in nature. He could fix or repair anything. However, hanging out with his grandkids is what he loved the most.

He is survived by: his daughter, Danielle M. Sabol, of Raeford, North Carolina; grandchildren, Connor & Christopher Shields; significant other, Donna McCartney; siblings, Rosemarie Sabol, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, Kathy (Brian) Porsch, of Hermitage, and Tom (Delores “Sis”) Sabol, of Farrell; nieces & nephews, Matthew Porsch, JoLyn (Ed) Gaggini, Monica (Kane) Sabol, Andrea (Scott) Lewis, Angela (Frank) Kozarich, Alan (Lori) Sinopoli, and Anthony Sinopoli; special nephew, Lance McCartney; son-in-law, Eric Shields; and brothers-in-law, Clyde (Kathy) McCartney, Mark McCartney, Richard McCartney, and Tom (Cathy) Sinopoli.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Sinopoli) Sabol, whom he married October 11, 1980, she passed February 5, 2004; daughter, Amy Joe Shields; and sister, Carol Sabol.

A time of gathering to honor Joe’s life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 4-6 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
