Joseph Paul Yarabenetz

Joseph Paul Yarabenetz, of Masury, Ohio, entered eternal rest on December 29, 2024, following a period of declining health. He was 86.

Joseph was born February 9, 1938, in Manhattan, New York, a son to Peter and Eva (Hemlinger) Yarabenetz.

He was a 1956 graduate from Brookfield High School and shortly thereafter, enlisted with the U.S. Air Force to help defend our flag and keep our country free. While serving, he achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant and received the Air Force Longevity Award with 2 bronze oak leaf clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 2 bronze oak leaf clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal to name a few. He was honorably discharged from his duties after a distinguished 20-year career.

Joe worked in many capacities before he retired. Some of the local companies include: Sherwin-Williams Paint Can, U.S. Can, Bus Driver for Brookfield Schools, Kroger, Golden Dawn, Walmart, Sears, and a Security Guard at Truck World. He wore many hats throughout his lifetime.

He was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Vienna, Ohio.

In his spare time, Joe enjoyed watching NASCAR, doing yard work, and eating at the Brookfield Diner.

He is survived by his bride of 64 years, Beverly Ann (Nicastro) Yarabenetz, whom he married May 21, 1960; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and sisters, Pauline (Yarabenetz) McNeel, Margaret "Margie" Seiple, and Eva Cook.

In accordance to his wishes, private military honors will be conducted by the Wheatland VFW and West Middlesex American Legion.
