Joseph "Jr" Rudy, Jr.
September 8, 1949 — October 27, 2017
Joseph “JR” Charles Rudy, Jr., of Struthers, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 in the Emergency Room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following a sudden illness. He was 68.
Joseph was born September 8, 1949, in Youngstown, a son to Joseph Charles & Julia Ann (Dionisio) Rudy, Sr.
A 1969 graduate from Campbell Memorial High School, he proudly defended our flag while serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He received an honorable discharge from his duties.
He found employment working for the former Youngstown Sheet & Tube.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, and fishing. However, he loved driving his ’60 Chevy the most of all.
His survivors include: his brothers, Richard Charles Rudy of New Middletown, Ohio, and Charles Thomas Rudy (husband of Betty Brannan Rudy) of Northfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and a sister, Shirley Ann Rudy.
In accordance to his wishes, no services will be scheduled. He will be laid to rest with his family in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery, Campbell, Ohio.
