Judith “Judy” Lynn Galati, of Brookfield, Ohio, went home to her Lord and Savior at 6:22 am Friday, December 14, 2018, while at home surrounded by loved ones and under the care of Crossroads Hospice, following a brave fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She was 66.
Judy was born November 23, 1952, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter to Glen F. & Shirley G. (Blair) Wireman.
She graduated from Mathews High School, Vienna, Ohio, in 1970 and found employment with Target Stamp Products (now known as Baloff), Kinsman, Ohio, where she worked as a secretary. She retired with the title of Shipping Manager after nearly 30 years of dedication to the company.
Judy was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church.
In her retirement, she enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, sewing, reading, and walking her & Bob’s pup-pup, Harley. However, she most enjoyed her time spent at Lake Erie, time with her family, with her church friends, and spreading her love for Jesus, telling everyone “Have a blessed day!”
She is survived by: her husband and caregiver, Robert “Bobby” T. Galati; her siblings, Gary Wireman (Susie), Wendy Thompson (Bob), and Cheri Wireman, all of Vienna; her mother-in-law, Janet L. Galati, Brookfield; her sisters-in-law, Deb Wireman, Findlay, Ohio, and Sally Kolat (Lonnie), Brookfield; her nieces and nephews, Benjamin Wireman (Shannon), Bethany Sasanecki (Mike), Brittany Muccio (Doug), Nedra Wireman, Sybil Barbini (Shane), Randi Jo Manon (Kyle), Tiffiny Vesey (Steve), Tarra Cvitkovich (Randy), Jason Thompson (Amber), Christopher Vesey, Ethan Fiest, Jacob Fiest; Melissa Stanton (Tyler), Lawrence Kolat, Jr. (Jessica), and Chad Kolat (Ashley); her 23+ (one on the way) great-nieces and nephews; and her best friend of 50 years, Carol Beatty, who took her everywhere.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother, Randy Wireman; and by her nephew, Tommy Fiest.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Rd., Vienna, Ohio 44473, where family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service from 5-6 PM.
As suggested by her family, material contributions can be made to the church (or) to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter, 6155 Rockside Rd., #403, Independence, Ohio 44131.
