Laverne Jean “Bootsie” Peterson, of Wheatland, Pennsylvania, peacefully transitioned from this life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, while at home. She was 81.
Laverne was born May 1, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to Henry E. Jackson & Georgia M. Matthews.

In her spare time, Bootsie enjoyed reading her Bible and romance novels. However, spending time with her family is what she loved the most.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert E. Peterson, who held her hand since they were married on June 15, 1968; children, Tracey L. Peterson-Banks (Henry L., III), of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Robert E.
