Linda Ferguson

Linda E. Ferguson, of Masury, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 21, 2020, while a patient in the Emergency Room of the Sharon Regional Hospital, Sharon, Pennsylvania, following a sudden illness. She was 73.

Linda was born at home in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, on August 11, 1946, a daughter of Donald J. and Jennie H. (Smith) Smith.

She was a 1964 graduate of Lakeview High School, Sandy Lake, and had worked 20 plus years as a training coordinator for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Boyers, Pennsylvania. Most recently, she worked as a secretary at Family Healthcare, Mercer, Pennsylvania.

In her spare time, she enjoyed being a Believer in Christ, volunteering for church work, helping out in the food pantry, & ringing the bell for the local Salvation Army Red Kettle Drives. In addition, she loved traveling when she could, reading a good book, dancing with her husband, and tending to her garden.

She is survived by: her husband, James E. Ferguson, whom she married on March 31, 2001; children, Mary J. Scott-Herring (David), Whitehall, Maryland, and Bartholomew J. Scott (Elizabeth), Miami, Florida; beloved grandson, Bartholomew Herring; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Martin (David), Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; and her extended family too.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Bartholomew "Irish" J. Scott; and siblings, James, Elmer, & Ronald Smith, Katherine Eckart, Shirley Rodermond, & Eunice Irwin.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Linda will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
