Lois Burnett

Lois Burnett, 90, longtime resident of Brookfield, Ohio, was set free during the early morning hours on Thursday, January 25, 2024, while a patient in O’Brien’s Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, Ohio, following a long struggle with Dementia.

Lois was born on April 16, 1933, at home in Fowler, Ohio, a daughter to James F. & Freda N. (Nieman) Carr.

She retired from Packard Electric as an Audit Inspector after 26 years of dedicated service to the company. In addition, she worked at the former Kinsman Brass Company.

Lois was a member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church, Brookfield Historical Society, Fowler Historical Society, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Brookfield Fire Department.

She was a master of gardening who kept a meticulous yard. In addition, she was an excellent baker who was known for her cookies. She will truly be missed.

Survivors include: her daughters, P. Gayle Miles (Robert), of North Jackson, Ohio, Christine J. Wilmoth (Douglas), of Johnston Twp., Ohio, and Vicki L. Schutt (Robert), of Masury; son, Charles O. Burnett, of Florida; grandchildren, Christi, Jamie, Desiree, Nathan, & Eric; great-grandchildren, Cody, Kaylea, David, Mia, Jase, Maci, Logan, & Adrienne; and brother, Jack Carr.

Preceding her in death were her siblings, Mary Dodrill, Jim Carr, Patty Nagy, & Richard Carr.

A memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in the Brookfield United Methodist Church, located at 6951 Grove Street, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
