Loretta Ross
October 11, 1939 — June 15, 2016
Loretta Elizabeth Ross, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, received eternal rest on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at home and under the care of Hospice of Allegheny Health Network following an extended illness. She was 76.
Loretta was born on October 11, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Floyd August & Mary (Tarczy) Higgs.
She graduated from Rayen High School, Youngstown, Ohio in 1957 and was the owner / operator of ATC Alarm Company, Wheatland.
She was a former member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Masury, Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and her pet dogs.
Loretta is survived by: her husband, Raymond Ross, Brookfield; her sons, Joseph F. and Robert D. Marinelli, both of New Castle; her grandchildren, Nichole, Danielle, & Brandon Marinelli; her great-granddaughter, Giuliana; and her siblings, Don Higgs & his wife Kadee, Brookfield, Ohio, Martin Higgs & his wife Kathleen, Rutledge, Vermont, and Marian Lam & her husband Raymond, Kansas City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brother, Floyd J. Higgs.
A time of gathering to honor Loretta will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 9:30 AM in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 40 South Irvine Avenue, Sharon, Pennsylvania 16146. She will be laid to rest in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
