Margaret Marie Scarcelli, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:40 PM while under the care of the Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following a very brief illness. She was 92.
Margaret was born in Bellaire, Ohio on September 5, 1926, a daughter to Frank & Helen (Nester) Miller.
On August 31, 1944, she married Patrick James Scarcelli and together they started a family. Born to this union were three sons: George, Anthony, and Frank. She was proud to stay at home to raise her young family.
She was a member of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church, Warren, Ohio.
In her spare time, she enjoyed music, reading, and gardening. However, her passion was baking for the holidays, as well as for family and friends. Besides Neil Diamond and her love for sweets, she was always on the look-out for new polka music. In addition, she was hooked on watching re-runs of “Murder She Wrote.”
Survivors include: her sons, George “Butch” Scarcelli & his wife Christine, Temecula, California, Anthony Scarcelli & his companion Cheryl, Brookfield, Ohio, and Frank Scarcelli, Niles, Ohio; her grandchildren, Susan Marie Delaney (Ronald), Sonya Lynn Scarcelli, Nicole Ann Williams (Charles), & Nikki Scarcelli Dauble (Corey); her great-grandchildren, Katlin, Gabriel, Noah, Nicholas, Grace, Faith, Haley, Hayden, and Maria; her great-great-granddaughter, Mia-Bella; her siblings, Michael Miller (Jean), Howland Twp., Ohio, and, Katherine Cuckovich (Miles), Newton Falls, Ohio; her many nieces and nephews; and her extended family too.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick James, who passed April 7, 1977; by her siblings, Ellen Bundas, Anna Thompson, Mary Dodge, Charles Fedash, & Robert Miller.
In accordance to her wishes, no formal calling hours or funeral services will be held. On Monday, December 31, 2018, at 10 am, she will be laid to rest in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
As suggested by her family, memorial contributions can be made to your local Salvation Army.
