BROOKFIELD, OHIO
Marian A. Curry, 90, passed away February 8, 2019, at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio.
She was born May 2, 1928, at home in Hubbard, Ohio, a daughter to John D. and Fern A. (Patterson) Allen.
She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1946.
Her position with Stanley Home Products as Executive Secretary lasted 22 years and then she decided to become a full time homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard for 80 years and held many positions as Sunday school teacher, choir member, and 18 years as church treasurer.
She volunteered at Neighborhood Ministries, at the Kirwan Center, and taught sewing, pattern layout, machine maintenance, and other related projects. Her zeal for making garments for her students diminished as her eyesight failed.
She was known by everyone for her memory of names, places, and events. Just ask “Marian she knows” was a favorite among all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jay, of 72 years; son, Tom (Sandy) Kho, Brookfield; and grandchildren, Dr. Tiffany (Mike) Stanish, Indianapolis, Indiana, and T.J. Kho, Akron, Ohio.
Preceding her in death are her siblings, Betty Jane Curry and Jack Allen.
