Marlyne L. Callahan

Marlyne L. Callahan, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed from this life late Saturday night, November 16, 2024, while a resident at Heritage Manor, Youngstown, Ohio, following a period of declining health. She was 86.

Marlyne was born on November 27, 1937, in Stronghurst, Illinois, a daughter to Ivan J. & Huldah H. (Watson) Leinbach.

She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1956 and was a proud homemaker for her family. In addition, she was a Hallmark ambassador to various local grocery and retail outlets.

Marlyne was a member of the Bethel Life Church, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, where she was previously active as both a Sunday school teacher and a worship leader.

In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and baking.

Survivors include: her children, Michael (Lynne) Callahan, Debra (Mark) Evans, and Lisa Deiger; grandchildren, Alexander (Emma) Evans, Kaitlyn (Scott) Green, and Michael Callahan, II; 5 step-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, James A. Leinbach, & Janice Marie Berecek.

A time of gathering in Marlyne’s honor will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 4-5 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor James Fleck. She will be laid to rest in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
