Martha J. Timko

Martha J. Timko, of Vienna, Ohio, was reunited into the loving arms of her beloved husband, Robert, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, while at home surrounded by her family and all her memories. She was 100 years young.

Martha was born November 21, 1924, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Clarence R. & Ruth (Titus) Consider.

On August 23, 1947, she married Robert “Bob” C. Timko. Together, they held hands through thick and thin for the next 73 years until his passing in 2020.

She worked as a keypunch operator for Copperweld Steel, Warren, Ohio, and as a bus driver for Mathews Schools. 

To know Martha’s heart is her greatest legacy. She was a jean wearing Nana who enjoyed working outside more than in the house. There was always a puzzle on her dining room table for all to enjoy and she even managed to crochet a bit. Martha loved traveling the USA from one end to the other, as well as camping with her husband & family. She was quick to share stories of growing up with her family and cousins and wouldn’t let anyone leave without standing on her porch or at the window waving goodbye. She adored her grandsons and loved cooking for them. 

No matter how much time you have with someone you love so much, it is never enough. We will always remember how you shaped our lives and will keep your light in our hearts.

Survivors include: son, Daryl R. Timko and his wife Robin, of Hartford, Ohio; daughter, Debra R. Timko, of Vienna; and grandsons, Sam (Lanie) Timko & Nash Timko.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Bradley Timko; brothers, Walter, Charles, & Joseph Consider; and sisters, Helen Carroll & Margaret Jenkins.

In accordance with her wishes, a simple memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her family in the Vienna Township Cemetery.
