Mary Anne Orr

On Friday, July 12, 2024, Mary Anne Orr, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed peacefully with loved ones by her side. She was 60.

Mary Anne was born on August 20, 1963, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to Jim Thompson and Jean Darrow.

She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1981 and was a stay-at-home mom. However, some may remember her when she was a bartender at Barto’s Bar & Grill.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing pool. In addition, she was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She absolutely loved her dogs, Blue & Max. Furthermore, she really enjoyed riding with her husband. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her grandchildren.

Her survivors include: husband, Donald A. Orr, whom she married March 24, 2010; mom, Betsy Thompson; children, Jamie Capperes (James), Jordan Norris, James Mullins, Jared Mullins (Michael), Texie Haden (CJ), and Donald Orr, II; grandchildren, Jeffrey Metze, III, Mariah Norris, Hunter Capperes, Benjamin Norris, Addison Capperes, Jackson Mullins, Sydney Barwinski, and Kadon Torres; great-granddaughter, Alina; siblings, Charles “Chuck” Thompson (Nettie), Susan “Suebee” Shrader (Steven), Todd Kubic, and Kevin Kubic (Jennifer); and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Thompson, and Dave & Jean McGlynn; and brother, Patrick Thompson.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, July 27, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM, at Corner House Christian Church, 6954 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Hubbard, Ohio 44425.

In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514 (or) the Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd., Vienna, Ohio 44473.
