May Eller Lowe, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, received her Heavenly wings on Monday, September 16th, 2024, while a patient in the Emergency Room of Sharon Regional Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was 69.

Ms. Lowe was born December 10, 1954, in Andalusia, Alabama, a daughter to Elmer Joseph Lowe, Sr. and Ola B. (Hollie) Lowe.

She was a 1972 graduate from Brookfield High School and a proud homemaker for her family. However, she might be remembered working at the West Middlesex Diner back in the day.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing BINGO at the Sharon American Legion, completing crossword puzzles, and watching scary movies and TV shows. In addition, she loved cooking soul food.

Survivors include: her life partner, Howard E. Sumrow, of Sharon; sons, Carlo Lowe (Shatia), of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Eddie Lowe (Richa), of Sharon, and Julius Boatwright (Lauren Stoner), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Eddie Lowe, Jr., Kyara Lowe, Rhyanna Lowe, Kassidy Taylor, Braydon Thomas-Lowe, Doreon Argenis-Lowe, Carlo Trudo, Jr., Roland Rice, Damian Lowe, Destiny Flowers, Carlao Lowe, DeLonte Lowe, Xy'Laun Lowe, M'Aalaiyah Lowe, and Adrienne Bailey; brothers, Albert Lowe, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, Ronnie Lowe, of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Elmer Lowe, Jr. (Myrtis Knight), of Century, Florida; sisters, Karen Wilder, of Sharon, Chris Lowe, of Farrell, Judy Lowe, of Sharon, Pam Lowe, of Sharon, Margaret Ann Etchison, of Albion, Michigan, Dorthy Brown, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Carrie Knight, of Staten Island, New York; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Lowe; grandsons, Brandon Levi Lowe and Bryce Antonio Lowe; and brothers, Elmer Lowe, Jimmie Thomas, David Lowe, Lloyd Lowe, and Raymond Thomas.

A Home Going Service to celebrate May’s life will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Rd., Farrell, with Pastor T. James Harrison, officiating, and son, Julius, as eulogist. Family & friends may attend calling hours from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM also in the church. She will be laid to rest in Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
