Michael Faber Jr., of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 5:31 PM Monday, June 2, 2014, while at home.
He was born March 5, 1931, at home in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, a son to Michael & Anna (Kuzmik) Faber, Sr.
Michael was a 1950 graduate of Brookfield High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna Crago, on August 19, 1950, and they shared almost 64 years together.
Mr. Faber retired from Valley Mold, Hubbard, Ohio, in 1981 after a 33 year career as a Master Pattern Maker.
He was a self-taught musician and played various instruments in country music bands, most notably at Melody Lane, Lordstown.
He loved gardening and carpentry and has built several homes in the area. He loved all sports, and was an avid follower of all his sons’ and grandsons’ sporting events.
Mr. Faber was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by loving wife; his sons, Dr. Gary Faber, Brookfield, William Faber, Avon Lake, OH, Donald “Bones” Faber & his wife Joan, Masury, OH, and Greg Faber & his wife Debbie, McMurray, PA; his five grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Anna Steib, Howland, OH, and Mary Brashen & her husband John, Hubbard; and his brother, John Faber & his wife Alberta, Hubbard.
A time of gathering to honor Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 10-12 PM at Briceland Funeral Service, 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield. His funeral service begins at 12 PM. He will be laid to rest in the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
