Nancy Jane “Sis” Stewart, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, while a patient at UPMC, Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, following a brief illness. She was 67.
Nancy was born July 6, 1949 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to John Z. & Nancy I. (Ziegler) Papp.
A 1967 graduate of Brookfield High School, she met her future husband on a double date and ended up falling in love with the other man from that night. A short time later, she married Fred R. Stewart on July 19, 1969, after he came home from the U.S. Army. Born to this union were two children, Jeffrey & Michelle.
She worked as an accounting clerk for GATX, Masury, Ohio and CCL, Wheatland, Pennsylvania. However, she took the most pride in being a homemaker for her family.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing on the computer, and proof reading sci-fi/fantasy stories for various writers.
Survivors include: her mother, Nancy, Brookfield; her husband Fred of 47 years; her children, Jeffrey A. Stewart & his wife Kerri, East Palestine, Ohio, and Michelle L. “Micki” Stewart, Cleveland, Ohio; her granddaughters, Jocelyn & Courtney; and her brother, John M. “Butch” Papp, Atlanta, Georgia.
