Nautica NeJea Marie Davis, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, passed away at 1:15 AM on Monday, August 6, 2018, while a patient in the Emergency Room of St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Youngstown, Ohio, the victim of a violent act. She was 18.
Ms. Nautica was born on April 11, 2000, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Brian Summers & Kamala Devi Davis. However, she was reared by her maternal grandmother, Annette M. Davis, and special cousin, Fontella L. Jones.
She attended Farrell High School, where she participated on the varsity volleyball & basketball teams.
She worked as a cashier at the Hermitage McDonald’s.
Her survivors include: maternal grandmother, Annette M. Davis, Farrell; maternal grandfather, Henry H. “Jackie” Davis, Port Richie, Florida; brother, Nehemiah L. Davis, Farrell; sisters, Shanay D. Davis, Farrell, and BreAnna Summers, Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; great aunt & uncle, Karen & Ronald Weston, Farrell; uncle, Mark D. Jordan, Columbus, Ohio; aunts, Sheila R. Wells, Sharon, Patricia L. Davis-Fields, LeChea Thomas, both of Farrell, Shawntee A. Mosley (John), Farrell, and Nikkia D. Thomas, Oxon Hill, Maryland; nieces, Chanel & Emorii, and nephew, Brennon, all of Farrell.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Wade E. & Irene Johnson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Howard & Ruby Davis; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Summers; parents; aunt, Tyrentni Thomas; and a host of aunts & uncles from both families.
A celebration of life service honoring Ms. Nautica will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Greater New & Living Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith Church, located at 840 Highland Rd., Sharon, Pennsylvania, 16146, where Bishop Alvin McCoy will officiate and Apostle Jennifer L. Campbell will offer her eulogy. Family and friends are welcome to share in a time of gathering at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
