Ralph Goist

Ralph J. Goist, of New Waterford, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, while a patient in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, as a result of anaphylaxis due to being stung by bees. He was 55.

Ralph was born in Youngstown on April 1, 1963, a son to Ralph H. and Joyce (Bailik) Goist.

A 1982 graduate from the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center, New Castle, Pennsylvania, he worked as a truck driver for Clear Creek, New Waterford.

In his spare time, he enjoyed everything outdoors, being on the water, and working on cars. More so, there was something special about the bond he had with his loving pets; his dogs, cats, and horse. However, going to breakfast at the VFW with his father held a special place in his heart.

Survivors include: his son, Andrew O. Goist (Corey), Fowler, Ohio; his grandchildren, Mariah Goist & Lisa Nipper; his father, Ralph, New Waterford; his mother, Joyce, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania; his sister, Rebecca Shugars (Charles), New Wilmington; his nieces, Rachael & Samantha Shugars; and his great-niece, Charlize Shugars.

A time of gathering to honor Ralph will be held Monday, July 30, 2018, from 5-7 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located on the historic village green at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A prayer service will immediately follow at 7 PM.
