Randall "Randy" E. Johnson

Randall “Randy” E. Johnson, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed from this life on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family while at home and under hospice care. He was 64.

Randall was born on March 25, 1960, in Bethesda, Maryland, a son to Ralph E. & Patricia A. (Baughman) Johnson.

He graduated in 1979 from Westerville North High School, Westerville, Ohio. He worked as a truck driver for McLane Food Distribution, Columbus, Ohio, dedicating over 21 years of service to the company. In addition, he worked at Home Depot while in Ontario, Ohio.

He was a member of the Onyx Health Club, Warren, Ohio. In his spare time, Randy enjoyed going to Mosquito Lake, where he would sit and relax while watching his son Paul swim. He loved his red Rubicon Jeep! He kept it clean and dressed with the latest accessories. Randy also liked to build model planes, cars, etc. He even tried his hand at airbrushing. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he would generously donate toys for the children to the local fire department in Columbus. Randy liked watching action films and TV. He never forgot a birthday or anniversary. His favorite vacation spot with his wife was in Tennessee. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.

Mourning his loss are his wife, Angie (Brown) Johnson, whom he married October 1, 1999; sons, Paul E. Murray, III, and Robert Smith (Nelli); grandchildren, Tatianna Nicole Murry, Jasih King Murray, Alia, Rain, Liam, Jazlyn, and Aaron Smith; great-grandson, Ezekial Smith; in-laws, Mike “Chico” Brown (Karen), David Brown, Arlene Boswell (Eddie), and Joan Guy; as well as best friends, Jan & Mike Wade, and Cathy & Roger Kemmere.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Katherine Brown, Joseph Brown, Glen Brown, and James “Sonny” Guy.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

A special thank you is extended to Chaplain Wayne from hospice and friend, Laura Bartz for their love and support during Randy’s final days.
