Raymond J. Horvatovich, went home on Thursday, February 23, 2023, following a period of declining health. He was 88.
Raymond was born on October 24, 1934, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to Andrew & Mary Catherine (Sarisky) Horvatovich.
He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1952 and proudly served in the Ohio National Guard, where he was honorably discharge with the rank of Sergeant.
He may be remembered working as a maintenance man for the Hubbard Exempted Village School District.
Ray was a talented taxidermist who enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include: his children, Mark Andrew Horvatovich (Tracey Mills), of Athens, Ohio, Lora Ann Superak (Jeffrey), of Franklin, Pennsylvania, and Denice "Dee Dee" Urick (Greg), of Brookfield, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann S. (Townsend) Horvatovich, whom he married May 11, 1957, she died August 29, 2019; grandsons, Daniel Superak & Michael Vitello; and sisters, Bernice Novak & Loretta Tolnar.
In accordance with his wishes, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM, in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Parish Center, 357 N. Main Street, Hubbard, Ohio 44425. He will be laid to rest next to his bride in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
