Robert Artman

Robert Ronald Artman, of Niles, Ohio, was called home on Sunday, August 23, 2020, while a patient at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was 45.

Robert was born September 17, 1974 in Warren, Ohio, a son to Ronald E. & Barbara (Seley) Artman.

He graduated from Maplewood High School in 1992 and had worked as a lineman for AT&T, Youngstown, Ohio. He most recently worked at Liberty Steel Products, Hubbard, Ohio.

In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. In addition, he was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes fan and NASCAR enthusiast. He also threw competitive darts with Team Cobra in the Youngstown Dart Association League.

Survivors include: his mother and step-father, who helped raise him from the age of 2, Barbara & James R. Fileger, of Johnston, Ohio; his wife, Sonya Marie (Ricciulli) Artman, whom he married July 2, 2006; his son, Hunter Robert Artman, at home; his sister, Amanda T. Morris (Richard), of Johnston; his aunt & uncle, Patricia & Chief Richard Brannon, of Vienna, Ohio; and his fur pup-pup, Bocephus.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Everett & Marian Artman; maternal grandfather, Robert Seley; and maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Seley.

A celebration of life service will be planned and announced for a later date.
