Robert “Pete” R. Pawlowicz, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at 12:15 pm Thursday, April 12, 2018, while a patient with Hospice of the Valley and following an extended illness. He was 83.
Robert was born May 18, 1934, in Toledo, a son to Raymond Joseph & Clara T. (Steinbart) Pawlowicz.
Self was forgotten the day that Bob left his home to defend our flag and to help keep our country free. He enlisted in the U.S. Airforce while the Korean Conflict was ongoing. Following an honorable discharge from his duties, he found employment with General Mills, Inc. He retired after 40 years of dedication to the company.
In his spare time, “Pete’ loved fishing, traveling to fish, and talking about fishing. It goes without saying that he loved to be on the water.
He is survived by: his son, Michael Dee Pawlowicz (Shelly), Swanton, Ohio; his three grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and his three nieces, one of whom was his caregiver, Christine A. Morrison (Ed), Brookfield, Ohio.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and a sister, Delores Ann McHenry.
In accordance with his wishes, no services or calling hours will be scheduled.
