Ronald Paul Miller

Ronald P. Miller, of Brookfield, Ohio, received his eternal reward Sunday evening, September 8, 2024, following a brief illness. He was 87.

Ronald was born August 8, 1937, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Paul & Virginia (Walker) Miller.

In 1956, he enlisted with the U.S. Army to protect our flag and to help keep our country free. He was assigned to Company B of the 801st Maintenance Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division and achieved the rank of Specialist E-4. He was honorably discharged from his duties in 1959.

Following his return home, he married the love of his life, Sandra Say. They exchanged vows on April 15, 1963 and together started a family. To this union three children were born: Bradley, Scott, and Holly.

He provided for his family by working at G.A.T.X. and a short time later, opened Miller Bros Carpets in Sharon. He provided quality service to his customers for more than 27 years, before officially retiring.

Ron was a member of the Buhl Club, Sharon, and attended the Brookfield Christian Church.

In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, playing racket ball (where he was a tournament player), shooting billiards, and all sports. He loved being on the farm and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.

Survivors include: his bride, Sandra; sons, Bradley Paul Miller (Dawn) and Scott William Miller, both of Brookfield; daughter, Holly Lee Miller, of Austintown, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler, Kaleigh, & Lauren Miller; great-grandchildren, Rowen Jerina, Liam Miller, & Lilah Miller; and sisters, Paula Boal (Frank), of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania and Marilyn Donak, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance to his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.
