Susan B. Zagorec, of Masury, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 19, 2025, while a patient at O’Brien’s Memorial Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was 76.
Susan was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, on August 16, 1948, a daughter to Joseph A. & Mary Jane (Durisko) Bartolin.
She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1966 and worked as a wire cutter for Packard Electric. She retired after dedicating over 32 years to the company.
Her memberships included St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Vienna, Ohio, formerly St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Masury; Local 717 Packard Retirees; and the former Over the Hill Gang, Brookfield, Ohio.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitch and crocheting. In addition, she loved helping her dad place the veteran flags each year in the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
Mourning her loss are her sons, Joseph A. Zagorec (Karen) and Jonathan M. Zagorec (Megan), both of Hubbard, Ohio; granddaughter, Annie M. Zagorec & husband, Jared Adler; and dear friend, Debbie Shurilla.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A time of gathering to honor Mrs. Zagorec’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12-1 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio. Her celebration continues with a service beginning at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in the Brookfield Township Cemetery with her family.
